Getting to Everyone Else with Calculated Precision
Let me stop and say . . . You won’t actually be contacting "everyone else".
I will not have you do something crazy like send out thousands of letters addressed to "Dear Occupant". I will show you how to carefully target hundreds, even thousands of people who will want to help you.
In Step 3 of this chapter, I will guide you through the exact process for contacting a whole lot of people and convincing them to help you in your Birthmom search.
And you know what? Of all these people that you begin to contact…most of them really will want to help you! Why?
One reason will be that it won’t actually be YOU asking for help...not at first anyway. It will be someone that THEY know and trust asking for their help on your behalf.
OK. Now I’m getting ahead of myself. In Step 5, I'll introduce the Power of Endorsement so let’s not go there yet. I have a few more things to teach you first.
But even without knowing about the Power of Endorsement, consider this:
Give people a chance to help, with no expectation for repayment, and most people will gladly assist if they can (even if they don't know you). And when the cause is a noble thing like pursuing adoption, many people will "jump right in the boat and help you row!"
So now it is time to contact and motivate these hundreds, even thousands of people to all point that special Birthmom in your direction.
