Your "Reminder" Postcards
After your first three letters have been sent, you’ll wait another three to four weeks and then begin mailing your first round of "reminder" postcards.
Postcard Layout
Keep your postcards simple. On one side, include your return mailing address and the address of the recipient. On the flip-side, include your short reminder message (see Postcard Content below).
As you prepare these cards for your Mailing Work Party (see Step 8 in this book), I suggest you go to a local printer or copy store and see what type of deal you can make to have postcards pre-printed.
When you talk to the Printer, ask for a price quote, following these basic specifications:
• Your return address printed on the upper left corner of the first side.(For the 3 sets of post cards below, receive a quote to print a copy of your hand-written message in blue ink, so it looks more like it was actually written by hand.)
• 1st postcard set: 1000 - 1250 cards with a "hand-written" message printed on the second side.
• 2nd postcard set: 1000 - 1250 cards with a different "hand-written" message printed on the second side.
• 3rd postcard set: 1000 - 1250 cards with an even different "hand-written" message printed on the second side.
Don’t bother making your postcards fancy. Use a simple white or lightly colored card stock and do not worry about pictures or clipart.
Keep It Simple.
During your Mailing Work Party, your Circle Members will need only to address and stamp the pre-printed postcards for their contact lists.
(A Note on Costs: In Step 5, I discuss having your Inner Circle members agree to help with the costs of all the mailing supplies. Because they have already agreed to this, don’t be shy about asking for their help in paying for these pre-printed postcards as well. If you think about it, pre-printing them is really helping them save time during the Work Party.)
