Non-Identifying Information System
Other Tools: Flyers, Business Card Flyers, 4x6 Cards, Pull Tabs
You MAY want to develop 4 types of "Informational" documents for your Birthmoms to read. Each item will include your toll-free number with the three Magic Words of marketing, "Free Recorded Message"; your web address if you have one; and of course some "version" of your family Bio.
(In the Gold Enhancements available free at JourneytoAdopton.com, I will help you draft these messages exactly.)
Business Card Flyers: These are small and convenient to carry around, hand out and mail to those you contact in your mail campaign. Your Business Card flyers will include: on the front, a "Headline" sparking interest with your Birthmom, the words "Free Recorded Message" with your toll-free phone number (see below) and your Web address if you have one. On the back, you’ll squeeze your 2-paragraph version of your Family Bio.
It’s purpose is not to deliver your entire message…but rather to spark enough interest with a Birthmom (or her support network), that she wants to learn more. It will direct her to your free recorded message or website where she can learn more.
When you include 10 of these cards in each of your first three Letters you mail out, it will give those you contact something to offer Birthmoms they encounter. They can also be given to friends and family of those people that have received your letters, so more people can keep their eyes and ears open for you.
8 1⁄2" x 11" Color Flyers: Usually in a tri-fold design, this document will use the 1-page version of your bio along with color pictures to present a "feeling" about your family. It will also include your "Free Recorded Message" toll-free phone number (see details below) and your web address if you have one. You will be passing these out, mailing these out, and possibly emailing these out to your contact lists.
When you include three or four of these flyers with your Introduction Letter, it will give those you contact something to hand out to Birthmoms they encounter.
4x6 Hand-written Cards: Used to find "local" Birthmoms, these are hand written cards that you will post anywhere and everywhere you think a Birthmom may go.
This might include the bulletin board wall at shopping centers, grocery stores, laundromats, pre-natal healthcare clinics, etc. As with the Business Card flyer, this card will give just enough information to spark the interest of the Birthmom. Then it will direct her to your Free Recorded Message and your website to learn more.
Pull Tabs: These are used in a similar manner as the 4x6 Cards. But these can be printed from your computer instead of hand written. You will post them anywhere and everywhere you think a Birthmom may go.
As with the Business Card flyer, this card will give just enough information to spark the interest of the Birthmom. Then the Pull Tab will have the words, Free Recorded Message, the phone number (and Web address) to learn more.
Note: While 4x6 Cards and Pull Tabs work well for local searches, don’t feel limited to just your city or town. If you travel on business or pleasure, bring these along, and tack them up in every city you visit. Also, mail them to family and friends to post in their cities and towns.
